ISCR Conference 2025

Abstracts and Proposals Due April 30th, 2025

The 3rd Conference of the International Society for Contemplative Research (ISCR) will be held on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from November 3-6, 2025.

The ISCR 2025 Conference is an international conference for rigorous interdisciplinary investigation of contemplative practices in diverse contexts. This year’s theme is The Arc of Life and Death. The conference will feature pre-conference workshops, plenary sessions, contemplative practice periods, individual presentations, concurrent panels, and poster sessions focused on a diverse range of topics and best practices within contemplative research.

ISCR supports the independent and collaborative work of scholars, scientists, clinicians, and practitioners who are engaged in the rigorous investigation of traditional and modern forms of contemplative and other mind-body practices.

The conference is seeking contributions from all areas of contemplative research, with special consideration for topics related to this year’s theme and interdisciplinary contributions between the Sciences, Humanities, and Education. Individuals can submit an abstract or proposal of no more than 300 words from March 10 through April 30, 2025.
